What We Do

The Brothers have “demonstrated permanency by providing for over three centuries an astonishing array of activities from the most basic literacy learning to the most complicated technological learning for both children and adults … so that they can be fully integrated into community and society.”
- United Nations (UNESCO Noma Prize)

“The Brothers are crack troops in the worldwide campaign against illiteracy. It’s estimated that each year their lower schools teach from 75,000 to 90,000 children to read and write.”
- America - The Catholic National Weekly Magazine

The De La Salle Christian Brothers are part of an educational heritage of more than 300 years that ranges from store-front schools to great universities in over 80 countries. As a Brother you will be part of an internationally-recognized educational network and brotherhood.

We are also very active in special educational needs programs to court-adjudicated youth, to at-risk youth, and through residential, outreach, and after school programs. If it has to do with the education of youth, especially those most in need, it’s likely that you’ll find the Brothers there.

It’s what we do.
